Paddle past the towering rock cliffs of the Delaware Water Gap and a mix of fields, wooded hills and some development.  Class 1/1+ rapids river reading and boat control skills are needed for this section of the Middle Delaware which has a good number of such rapids.  The approximate time on the water including lunch for this 13.8 mile paddle is 5 hours.  The Delaware river is approximately 100 minutes from the Philadelphia Canoe Club.

We will do a reverse shuttle and meet at the take out Belvidere Boat Ramp, 45 Front St, Belvidere, Coordinates 40.82827328179498, -75.08291804774366. We will consolidate boats onto fewer vehicles, leave vehicles at Belvidere and drive together to the put in. Kittatinny Beach Boat Ramp, off Route 209, River Rd, Columbia, NJ 07832.  (Below the I-80 Bridge, Take the River Road exit off I-80).  Coordinates: 40.969720090741866, -75.12794486815555.  At the end of the trip, we will use the vehicles that we left at Belvidere to take drivers back to Kittatinny to get their vehicles and get everybody and the boats back to Kittatinny Beach.  The reverse shuttle will save everyone about an hour of driving time in the morning.
