Philadelphia Canoe Club
The forecast for rainfall before Saturday should raise water to a good level for paddling one of our local creeks less than one hour drive from the Philadelphia Canoe Club. Likely locations are the East Brandywine and Neshaminy, both with class 1/1 plus rapids, or the upper Great Egg River with sharp turns and narrow passages through cut out debris. Prior experience on Moving water or Class 1/1 plus rapids, and good boat control skills are needed. This page will be updated Friday evening once the rain is over with the trip details and again on Saturday morning before 6 AM when accurate water levels are known. Early 8 AM meeting time to paddle in the cooler morning and catch the higher water level from Friday's rain. The approximate time for the trip will be 3.5 to 4.5 hours. The trip will be within a 60 minute drive of the Philadelphia Canoe Club.
