Paddle the attractive tea-colored waters of this beautiful South Jersey river.  Along the shoreline the Marshmallow flowers may be starting to bloom.  If the Blackberries are ripe we will take some time for berry picking.  Good boat control is necessary to maneuver around obstacles and the sharp twists and turns, at times only 1 boat wide, on the river’s crooked course.  The time on the water for this 5 mile paddle is approximately 4.5 hours.  We will take breaks and eat lunch along the way.  The Maurice River is approximately 60 minutes from the Philadelphia Canoe Club.

Meet at the Stone Parking Lot on the other side of the road from 2626 Weymouth Road, Newfield, NJ, Coordinates:  39.55025164040981, -75.07076117347594.  We will drop off the boats and leave participants there to look over them while we shuttle our cars to West Side Park.

Take Out: West Side Park, 2680 Almond Rd, Vineland, NJ 08330.  Coordinates: 39.49652903957065, -75.07573033336439.  At the end of the trip, we will use the vehicles left at West Side Park to take drivers back to the Put In to get their vehicles and get everybody and their boats back together. There is a porta potty at West Side Park.
