The Little Schuylkill is a beautiful novice run through a remove wooded setting past Blue Mountain.  Hopefully the many rhododendron will be in bloom.  Rain from the prior week should result in good water levels.  With a gradient of 15’ per mile there are numerous class 1, 1+ rapids.  Helmets are recommended; club helmets will be available for use.  The estimated time on the water including lunch and breaks for this 17 mile paddle is 6.5 hours.  The Little Schuylkill is approximately 100 minutes from the Philadelphia Canoe Club.
