Paddle a diverse number of river features from Bridgeport 11 miles to the Philadelphia Canoe Club. The trip starts with easy rapids, ripples and moving water past Norristown and Conshohocken and then slows to flat water for several miles to the Flat Rock Dam. Portage the dam and paddle Class 2 and 1 rapids, moving and flat water to the canoe club. Much of the river is tree lined but roads and buildings can be heard and seen in the background. Helmets are recommended for this trip and will be available from the club. Time on the water including a lunch at the dam portage is approximately 4 hours.
