Lehigh Whitewater Trip

  • 22 Jun 2024

Paddle through class II+ whitewater as the Lehigh winds through a beautiful forested valley. Bring a white water boat, paddle, helmet, PFD, spray skirt, and pack a lunch. We'll stop along the way for lunch, play, and surfing.

Whitewater kayaking experience on class II rivers is required. This run is for people who have already done novice training with the club or equivalent skill building.  If you want to run whitewater and are just starting out, consider signing up for one of the classes including one that is running the same day. This trip does not include formal instruction but we'll have a mix of experience levels to support each other learning and enjoying the river.

The Lehigh river is 90 min north of Philadelphia.  The time for this 9 mile run is approximately 6 hours.

Contact Trip Coordinator Jere Downs for additional information.  If you don't have her contact info/whatsapp/FB messenger then contact your instructor to get connected.

ACA membership and waiver required ($40 annual membership or $10 daily membership).  Club boat use ($15) will be very limited and subject to availability due to the needs of the class.
