The Philadelphia Canoe Club opens its doors to the public for a day of free demonstrations, canoe and kayak rides, used equipment sales, racing, music, food and entertainment. Come and learn about one of the fastest growing sports in the country - paddling!
THE PHILADELPHIA CANOE CLUB OPEN HOUSE
This is a GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO SIGN UP FOR CLASSES BEFORE THEY START FOR THE SEASON! The Philadelphia Canoe Club's Open House offers Flatwater Boat Rides, Racing, Demos, Equipment Sales, Used Canoe and Kayak sales, Food and Fun - Right on the Schuylkill River from 10 am to 4 pm!
The Open House is free and open to the public.
The Philadelphia Canoe Club (PCC), which runs events, trips and paddling training programs open to the public, is a non-profit organization and a member of the American Canoe Association (ACA). The public is invited to attend regular monthly meetings at the clubhouse on the third Monday of each month at 7:30 pm.
Volunteers are needed for setup, food prep, grilling, donating baked goods, boat rides, rolling, play boating demos, assisting with race, ticket sales, clean up, etc

Whether you dream of spending the summer running raging whitewater or on quiet paddles through the woods or wetlands, the annual PCC Open House is an opportunity to learn about events and training, try out different types of boats or compete in a race on the Schuylkill River. Philadelphia Spring Regatta 7.1 mile race:

Distance Race: 7.1 miles, Canoes, Kayaks, Surfskis, Outrigger Canoes, SUPs. Mass start at Noon.

Fun Race: FREE 500 meter fun race. Mass start at 2 PM. Classes - all recreation canoes and kayaks.

PCC members are encouraged to race in the 500 meter fun race in their personal kayaks/canoes.

On site registration for both races: 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM.

Awards: 7.1 mile race - all finishers receive an award worth more than the entry fee. Fun Race - ribbons for 1st, 2nd, 3rd.
