Description
This is an easy trip for sea and touring kayaks in protected waters at the southern end of Island Beach State Park, New Jersey .

This is a generally protected from heavy waves but winds and waves may be encountered. Skirts recommended.
This is also a protected osprey breeding area with normally good wildlife watching opportunities and is an area that power boats are prohibited.
Commercial tours are prohibited in this area to protect Mother Nature and the number of trip participants is generally limited.

Directions: Enter Island Beach State Park (there is a daily fee) and drive approximately 9 miles to the Winter Anchorage site near Area 21, close to the end of the road. Turn right into the launch area. Meet there at 10:00 a.m.
