The Schuylkill Canal Association is hosting our Annual Holiday Luminaria on Saturday, December 10 from 6 to 9 PM at Lock 60, located on the Montomery County side of the Schuylkill River just outside of Phoenixville, PA.

Come see the most spectacular light show of the holiday season from the seat of your canoe or kayak!

We will be lining the canal side of the towpath from Route 29 up to and arond Lock 60 and the Locktender's House with hundreds of luminary bags.  As if stepping back in time to a Dickens' holiday scene, the luminaries placed around the area take you back to a simpler time; come inside the Locktender's House for some holiday treats and hot cider and enjoy the natural decorations, sing along with the joyful music played by Meadowlark and visit with Santa Claus between 6:30 and 7:30 PM.

If you are planning a flat water paddle on Saturday, the 5-mile river/canal loop would provide a very memorible experience.  The luminaries should be lit and visible from the canal by 5 PM.

More details are available at our website.......

Phoenixville will also be hosting the Firebird Festival on the same night so expect some additional traffic around the area if you plan to attend.
