We're thinking about going there in November. Have you been there? Did you paddle? Is it worth the trip?

I've been to Sanibel many times. It is a really nice low key area. Real good for bike riding and relaxing. Since it is on the Gulf don't expect much in the way of waves. There are nice flatwater "trails" through the mangrove swamps of Ding Darling wildlife sanctuary where you might see an otter or two, a bunch of different birds and maybe a manatee or even a gator.
