These are short paddles leaving from the Club on a number of Saturday mornings and occasional weekday evenings. Saturday short paddles meet at 9:30 a.m. and return by noon. Non-members are welcome and equipment is available for rental.

Description

This is a recreational flat water paddle of about two hours on the Schuylkill River, leaving from and returning to Philadelphia Canoe Club. We may paddle upstream to Manayunk or downstream toward Boathouse Row. Both kayaks and canoes are welcome. Paddlers should have previous experience. For trips on Friday evenings and Sunday mornings, you’re invited to bring your own brownbag dinner/brunch to enjoy at the Club afterward. Please contact the leader to say you are coming and let him/her know how to reach you if conditions necessitate cancelling.
