Batsto River - Quaker Bridge to Batsto Lake
Location
Description
The Batsto River drains the heart of Wharton State Forest and is an intimate and charming waterway in one of the most remote areas of New Jersey. This trip will begin at Quaker Bridge, accessed from a sand road deep in the forest. It will conclude at the north end of Batsto Lake, close to Batsto Village, an historic site that was once a thriving 18th century ironworks and home to the people who worked there.
